Christmas is in the Air

I have to say this morning got off to a hecktic start! I woke up at 7:45 to make sure we were on the road by 9 or earlier! Lets just say will has a clock of his own! The track was packet with stuff he had got in KC not think we already had a lot to take back! So it took about twice as long to load a car than it should have! Which meant we hit the road about an half hour late.

We made it back to run by the church drop things off come back unpack and go to Silver Dollar City!

I have never been to silver dollar city at Christmas! Only have been there once before! I was so excited! We had a coupon for almost half off a ticket so we totally jumped on it!

I have to say I was impressed it was so cool! We went and saw several shows and I loved the Parade!

Here are some Pictures:

Life is good!

This is coming from my NEW WORKING keyboard! I am super excited that my keyboard on my labtop finally works!
This past week has been pretty laid back and fun! It started last weekend. I got almost all my Christmas shopping done!  I got Will an early christmas present! i just couldn't keep it to my self. I got him a "puppy" She is an 8 month old full black lab! Such a sweet heart. On sunday I found out after church I would get her so I run around town got a new collar and tag for her. I put in a box and raped it up. Will wanted me to wait until Christmas but I just couldn't. So I went over to his place and got him the box! He was so lost. Once it clicked he wanted to go and see her! little to say we brought her home. Her name is Zoey!

This is Zoey and Will she loves him!
Then we ended the night with lamberts and meeting Emilee in line for Hillsong! I had seen Hillsong about a year and a half ago in Kansas City. But this time it was totally different! We met up with Wills brother and sister an law once we got in because they were saving us seats. The worship experience was amazing i can't even describe it in words. I have not had a worship experience like that in a long long long time. I wish everyone could have been there to experience it. It for sure was not a concert!

Ready for Hillsong to Start

Worship

Then came school on Monday and Tuesday. I got everything done to be able to have a great break! Went home late Wednesday night after work. Then got up a 3 am on Thursday to Hunt! my dad finally gave in and got me a gun! I was so excited. But didn't have to much fun because I came down with something and probably shouldn't have gone out! Other than that I have had a great week for the most part. Went to the Doctors to get my shots for Africa on Friday! Can I say I know why I HATE going to doctors. I went to a new doctor and little to say the doctor was acting like I got my inhalers illegally. She was not going to fill them nor give me my shots! It was Aweful! But my parents and family are having a blast with Zoey! She is getting so spoiled! Me and my mom went shopping today to the new H&M store here. I have to say I am not impressed. Then we spent like an hour in Forever 21 trying on more clothes than what we walked out with.LOL. After a morning of shopping we went to Panera for a great lunch! Now tomorrow is to  head back to SPF and go to Silver Dollar City!

Over all this break has been so worth it How was your Break?

Finally have Time

WOW these last couple of weeks have been crazy mainly because of my online class.

Ok a few updates!

Africa is less than 2 months away and I have almost all of my shots! It was such a blessing this week to find out that the insurance is going to cover the rest of my shots! WooHoo!  SO i get them over thanksgiving! On the other hand i'm still raising my money to go which is due in alittle over a week. But i have been slowly getting checks in the mail!
Finally regarding  Africa Huge prayer request. I guess my grandparents on my dad's said really want a saying in me going an controlling the matter. They think i could do so much more here in the U.S. Which yes I can do things here in the U.S. but God called us to make disciples of all nations in Matthew not just our nation. So from my understanding my dad stood up for me, which is weird in this sense. and things did not end will. At this same time this all frustrates me because I am getting more support from others than my own family!

Bright side this last week wasn't that bad school wise. I pulled a late nighter First one ever to get ahead for this week! Love it!
On Sunday it was so nice me and will wanted to do something outside so we picked up subway and went to the conservation area near Boise d'Arc to walk a few trails check out the shooting range and I think most of all look for hunting places for him. It was nice to have a weekend free of home work!
Now I can't wait for thanksgiving break! I'm going home to spend a couple of days  with my family then I get to go to christmas at silver dollar city! I'm excited!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Life can be Crazy!

I know it's been a while since I've posted last. The last week or so has been crazy!
I started my new job this last week which is a little crazy just because I have no clue what is going on! I also had midterms this last week and trying to get online lessons for work done as well. It was a little bit of a stressful week! But now I'm on Fall break with hardly any work and NO SCHOOL all week! It's GREAT!
This last week The person hat I have looked up to and has been there for me for the last I would say 5 years Got married!  It's a little weird to think that he is married now but so happy for him. The wedding was so much fun! I got to see an old friend from the church I attend in high school! It was a great surprise to see him there!
Will down for the wedding since he has became good friends with casey over the last year. Which I think is awesome. The person that is like a brother to me is really good friends with my boyfriend.  The wedding was on a little farm in Ash Grove. My I mention we so got lost on the way there because I was giving directions! LOL. anyone that knows me I can not give or get directions good enough. It was perfect weather for an out door wedding!

Then on sunday Will and I headed to Branson to zipline Finally! That was a Blast! and so pretty to just drive to Branson and see the tress changing colors on the hills on the way down!

Here are a few pics from the wedding!

Standardized testing Who thought of that!

In my EDC class today we were talking about a book we had to read Why Kids Hate School. It's a pretty good book. In this book it interviews and research why kids hate school. The big topic my class got stuck on was Standardized testing! As we got talking about this subject I was wondering what politician would ever think this was  the answer to finding out how students are learning??? As it was said in the book we were reading standardized testing and the No child left behind act is more of a "ONE SIZE FITS ALL" education. when every child learn different. Now days teachers have a list of things that they have to get in, in the year to be able to have the students "know" what they need to "know" for the MAP test or end of course exams. When in most cause the students are shutting out the teacher because it is more of a memorize and force feeding education.  The teachers are just hurrying through the material to be able to get it all in. Most students want a fun way to learn and/or Want to know why they need to know the information, how it will impact them and how to use it in real life. When Teachers have started to do this the students have shown a better success rate. But in all this it still doesn't get rid of the standardized testing! Most schools are so worried about how good tehir students will do and put so much pursure on their studnets for these test! When really it doesn't show how much or what the students are learning at all. Has anyone took into consideration:
* students may not test well
* students may not care becasue everyone makes such a big deal out of the test
* student with disabliities may not be able to do the test.
* the students doesn't have a good home life
* the student had a bad teacher
I'm sure there are many more reasons. Are the politicians stepping foot into the class rooms and putting them selfs in the positions of the students? Most aren't yet they think testing is the best way. When it is just making angry students and making students think that they aren't good enough.

This may be a little blabbing but it's very true.
What do you think?
